AVC double win at CVS Awards
Active Vetcare has had a fantastic double win at the CVS Awards ceremony. This annual event by our parent company, CVS, recognises outstanding achievements by practices and staff within the group.
We were delighted that Oakley Veterinary Clinic received the coverted "Practice of the Year" award and one of its vets, Lucy Rose won "Vet of the Year". Congratulations to them both!

Save 50% on Dental Treatments
Imagine how your teeth would look and how your breath would smell if you didn't brush your teeth regularly - it's the same for your pet. Dentistry is vital for their overall health and well being.
In the UK, statistics show that by the age of three 80% of dogs and 70% of cats suffer from oral problems.
Regular dental treatment now could save on costly treatment in the future. Your pet is often able to disguise a lot of dental pain, and generally they are very poor at letting their owner know when they are suffering.
Common signs include bad breath, dribbling, difficulty eating, pawing or rubbing the mouth, loose teeth or tooth loss, sore mouth, bleeding gums, yellow or brown tartar on teeth.
Offer closes end of January 2012. For further information please ring your local Active Vetcare practice. Terms and conditions apply. Please ask for full details. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.

Holtspur Vets at Flackwell Heath Cherry Fayre
The sun was out for us at Flackwell Heath Cherry Fayre on Sunday 10th July, when we ran a stall to raise money for the Blue Cross animal charity. A popular tombola had many prizes donated from our suppliers. Staff from Holtspur Vets would like to thank Virbac dental chews, Hills Pet Foods, Company of Animals toys, Ceva and Animalcare for their support. During the day we collected over £65 in donations to help unwanted or homeless pets in need. "Living in the village, I enjoyed getting to know more people in the community tell them about some of the really excellent value deals that we have in the surgery, like our popular Healthy Pet Club" said receptionist Julia.
Hopefully we can all enjoy the Cherry Fayre again next year - maybe we will see you there?
